Care and Cure of the Soul
Introduction
Welcome to the November 2014 issue of Consensus! The editors are privileged to present this issue that focuses on Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy. While there was a time when having the two terms “Spirituality” and Psychotherapy” in the same sentence would have been suspect, it is no longer the case. We live in times and places where alienation, isolation and a sense of loss has become common place and it has become imperative that spiritual care and psychotherapy go hand in hand for a holistic healing. The diverse ways in which care and cure are brought about adds to the significance of how important this work is.
The special issue is introduced by Thomas St. James O’Connor and Elizabeth Meakes and comprises of five focus articles, two sermons, and five book reviews.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to be over, it's about learning to dance in the rain ~ Unknown
